Rear Axle

The image below shows the process of the rear axle being made. The axle itself is made out of a 5 mm aluminum rod. The rod was cut to length and the threaded on each using a die. The gear in the middle of the axle was then slipped on and epoxied. The differential was 3D printed and will later be glued together to incase the differential gears and the end of the drive line. The wheels are held on using 12 mm hex nuts on the inside and M5 lock nuts on the outside.
